Honey Pie In Pan

This pie is similar to the traditional Algerian one, but it is even easier to prepare and is baked in a frying pan, and then, while still warm, soaked in liquid aromatic honey.

Total time: 30 minutes | Cooking time: 14-20 minutes | Yield: 4 servings
INGREDIENTS
1. Egg - 5 pcs
2. Flour - 100 g
3. Vanilla - 1/2 tsp
4. Salt - 1/2 tsp
5. Baking powder - 10 g
6. Vegetable oil - 30 ml
7. Honey - 80 ml
Step By Step Cooking Process
STEP 1
Place the eggs in a deep bowl and beat them with a whisk, adding salt and vanilla. You don't need to beat them into an airy foam, just achieve the consistency needed to make an omelette.
STEP 2
Add flour and baking powder to the egg mixture and mix well.
STEP 3
At the end of preparing the dough, pour in the vegetable oil and mix thoroughly again.
STEP 4
Pour the resulting dough sour cream consistency into a preheated frying pan, lightly greased with vegetable oil.
STEP 5
Cook the honey pie on low heat under the lid for 7-10 minutes. After that, making sure that the top has "set", remove the pie from the stove and carefully turn it over with a plate.
STEP 6
Return the inverted cake to the stove and bake for another 5-7 minutes, covered with a lid.
STEP 7
Let the finished honey pie cool slightly and take it out onto a plate, then soak it well with liquid honey or syrup, smoothing it out so that the pie is soaked as well as possible. Enjoy your tea!
