If you’re tired of classic chocolate pies, I recommend trying this Dark Chocolate Treasure Pie. What’s the secret, you ask? Inside, we hide multi-colored “gems” that mysteriously disappear during cooking, leaving behind a bright, aromatic fruity trace. A perfect little New Year’s adventure — right in your kitchen.

Total time: 35-40 minutes | Cooking time: 25 minutes | Yield: 4 servings
INGREDIENTS
1. Flour - 130 g
2. Cocoa - 3 tbsp.
3. Sugar - 100 g
4. Vegetable oil - 3 tbsp.
5. Egg - 1
6. Milk - 100 ml
7. Salt - 1 pinch
8. Baking powder - 1 tsp.
9. Multi-colored jelly candies - 150 g
10. Vanilla cream - 200 ml
11. Powdered sugar - 1 tsp.
Step By Step Cooking Process
STEP 1
Cut the multi-colored jelly candies into 1 cm cubes — like emeralds, rubies, and sapphires.
STEP 2
In a bowl, mix all dry ingredients: flour, cocoa powder, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
STEP 3
Add milk, egg and vegetable oil. Mix quickly until smooth. The batter should be thicker than pancake batter, but not dense.
STEP 4
Heat a pan over low heat for 1–2 minutes. Pour in about ⅔ of the batter and spread it evenly. Add a layer of vanilla cream (about 150 ml) in the center, place the jelly cubes on top, then cover with the remaining cream. Pour the rest of the batter over everything, completely sealing the filling.
STEP 5
Cover with a lid and cook over low heat for 25–30 minutes. Check doneness with a toothpick at the edge of the pie (do not test the center — that’s where the filling is). Once the edges are set, the pie is ready.
STEP 6
A dark, matte, minimalistic pie. You make the first cut — and inside, an aromatic lava of flavors appears. For extra magic, lightly dust the finished pie with powdered sugar.
This concludes the adventure. But as you may have noticed, at Gentleman Cuisine, every recipe is an adventure of its own.
Stay in touch — and have an exciting New Year.
