When you don’t have time to go to the store or don’t have an oven, bread in a frying pan will be a real salvation.
The ingredients for pan bread are the same as for regular yeast bread, the dough must also rise. But you can bake it covered in a frying pan. The main thing is to take a frying pan with a thick bottom (at the end of the recipe you will find out where you can buy just such a frying pan).

Total time: 180 minutes | Cooking time: 60 minutes | Yield: 10 servings
INGREDIENTS
1. Water – 500 ml
2. Flour – 500 g (you may need more, depending on the composition of the flour)
3. Yeast – 6 g
4. Salt – 1 tsp.
5. Sugar – 1 tsp.
6. Vegetable oil – 1 tbsp.
Step By Step Cooking Process
STEP 1
Heat water slightly in a large bowl or saucepan (to about 36-37 degrees), add yeast, sugar and salt. Stir.
STEP 2
Add flour in portions. After each serving, mix the dough with a whisk and then with a spoon. Continue kneading with your hands. Continue adding flour and stirring. As soon as the dough starts to stick to your hands, stop adding flour.
STEP 3
Gather the finished dough into a ball, cover with a bowl or lid and place in a warm place for 1 hour. After this time, take out the dough and knead it a little.
STEP 4
Take a frying pan with a thick bottom and grease it with vegetable oil. Place the dough in the pan and spread it evenly. Cover the dough already in the pan with a lid and leave for another 30 minutes. You can also make a pattern like mine. This will give the bread the most appetizing appearance.
STEP 5
Turn the heat to the lowest setting possible. Place the frying pan and cover with a lid. Fry the bread for 30 minutes. When one side is nicely browned, flip the bread over to the other. Fry for another 30 minutes, but without a lid.
STEP 6
Take out the finished bread and wrap it in a towel for an hour and a half. Then you can cut and serve. Enjoy your meal!
Helpful advice:
After removing the bread from the pan, brush it with plain water. The crust will become softer and easier to cut.
