Total time: 15 minutes | Cooking time: 10 minutes | Yield: 2 servings
INGREDIENTS
1. Flour - 250 g
2. Water (boiling water) - 150 ml
3. Baking powder - 1 tsp
4. Salt - 1/2 tsp
5. Sugar - 1 tsp (optional)
6. Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp.
Step By Step Cooking Process
STEP 1
In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and sugar (if using).
STEP 2
Gradually pour boiling water into the mixture of dry ingredients, stirring thoroughly to avoid lumps forming.
STEP 3
When the dough has cooled a little, knead it with your hands. It will be soft enough, but not sticky.
STEP 4
If necessary, add a little flour to prevent the dough from sticking to your hands. Form into a small flatbread or bun (depending on the desired shape).
STEP 5
Heat a frying pan with a little vegetable oil. Place the dough in the pan and fry over medium heat, covered, for about 5 minutes on each side, until the bread is browned and cooked through.
STEP 6
Done! The resulting bread can be served with butter, honey or as a side dish. Enjoy!
