A simple, hearty meal inspired by the days of the California Gold Rush. When mornings started before sunrise and survival mattered more than comfort — this kind of breakfast kept men going. Cooked in one pan. No excess. Just fire, iron, and patience.

Total time: 20-25 minutes | Cooking time: 15-20 minutes | Yield: 1 serving
INGREDIENTS
1. Bacon - 150 g
2. Eggs - 2
3. Beans (cooked or canned) - 150 g
4. Bread - 1 piece
5. Salt & black pepper - to taste
6. Onion - 1/2
Step By Step Cooking Process
STEP 1
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add bacon and cook until golden and crisp. If using onion — add it and cook until soft.
STEP 2
Add the beans directly into the pan. Stir with the fat and heat for 3–5 minutes.
STEP 3
Push everything aside and crack the eggs into the empty space. Cook to your preference.
STEP 4
Toast the bread in the same skillet or separately.
STEP 5
Serve immediately — straight from the pan. No decoration needed.
Some meals are simple for a reason. Come back — there are more stories waiting to be told in silence.
